Gravity, an EV charging infrastructure startup that recently introduced a 500-kilowatt station in New York City, has now announced its latest innovation: the Distributed Energy Access Point (DEAP). This new tech tackles the common problem of range anxiety, which worries many EV drivers. With the DEAP charging at an incredible rate of 960 miles per hour, getting 200 miles of range takes less than 13 minutes. This means drivers can say goodbye to long charging stops and easily fit charging into their daily schedules. Cohen stresses the importance of the DEAP’s benefits, saying, “Each DEAP can provide dozens of charge sessions per parking space each day – maximizing turnover and minimizing drivers’ downtime.”
