Unbeatable Financing and Lease Offers

Volkswagen has made it clear that they want you behind the wheel of their all-electric ID.4. They’re rolling out sweet deals that make going electric easier on your wallet. For well-qualified customers, you can finance a 2024 ID.4 at 0% APR for 72 months.

That’s right, zero percent! This means your monthly payment for every $1,000 financed is just $14.89 over six years. With no down payment required, this deal is as sweet as it gets, and it’s available through September 3, 2024.

If leasing is more your style, VW has got you covered. You can drive off the VW dealership in a brand-new ID.4 for just $249 a month on a 36-month lease. Thanks to an EV Lease Bonus of $7,500, your upfront cost is significantly reduced to just $3,499 at signing, excluding taxes and fees, the total monthly lease payment is based on an MSRP of $39,735.

This deal is for well-qualified customers, and it’s a closed-end lease, meaning you won’t be hit with unexpected costs at the end of your lease term. You’ll also benefit from an acquisition fee of $699, with payments totaling $8,964 over three years. This offer also ends on September 3, 2024, so time is of the essence.

The Benefits Keep Coming

Beyond the incredible financing and lease deals, the ID.4 offers additional perks that make it an even more attractive option. If you’re looking at the 2023 model, qualifying buyers can snag up to $7,500 in federal tax credits. This can be used as a down payment, significantly reducing the upfront cost. However, this perk is limited to vehicles with SK On battery components, so it’s essential to check the specifics with your dealer.

What’s driving these offers? It’s all about the competition. Automakers are sweetening the pot with loyalty bonuses, cashback deals, and conquest incentives to lure drivers from rival brands. It’s about creating a loyal customer base in the rapidly growing EV market.

Why the ID.4 Stands Out

For those still on the fence about going electric, the Volkswagen ID.4 presents a compelling case. The 2024 all-electric ID.4 gains more horsepower and a larger optional touchscreen. It also features redesigned climate control buttons, an updated operating system, and a different gear shifter for easier use. These upgrades are designed to make the ID.4 more competitive against the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai IONIQ 5, and Tesla Model Y.

However, the ID.4 still grapples with its touch capacitive controls for functions like windows, temperature, and stereo volume. Despite these controls being challenging to use, Volkswagen plans to address this issue in future models. Yet, this does not diminish the ID.4’s viability in its class.

Pricing remains a strong point for the ID.4. The starting MSRP for the 2024 VW ID.4 is $39,735 for the smaller 62-kWh battery and rear-wheel drive (201 horsepower and 229 pound-feet of torque). For the larger 82-kWh battery, the price starts at $44,875, offering more performance with 282 horsepower and 402 pound-feet of torque.

The top-tier model, priced at $52,795, boasts a new performance motor and inverter, pushing its power to 335 horsepower, along with added creature comforts like rear climate controls and heated seats.

While the range on the 62-kWh battery version dropped slightly from 209 miles to 206 miles, the 82-kWh battery versions saw improvements. The rear-wheel drive ID.4 Pro and Pro S now offer a maximum estimated range of 291 miles, up from 275 miles in 2023. The AWD models also saw a range increase to 263 miles from 255 miles last year.

Looking ahead, Volkswagen plans to switch to the Tesla-standard NACS charging port system, but for now, the 2024 ID.4 uses the CCS charging, compatible with Electrify America public charging stations. Buyers of the ID.4 receive 500 kWh of free charging at these stations, a nice added benefit.

The Verdict

The summer of 2024 brings unprecedented deals that make it easier than ever to transition to an electric vehicle. With Volkswagen’s unbeatable offers on the ID.4, there’s never been a better time to make the switch, or adding an EV to the stable.
