WowGo Board Launches 2S Max, E-skateboard Under $500

2S Max

WowGo announces the 2S Max, a powerful electric skateboard with dual 550W hub motors that starts under $500.

The board itself is made of a sturdy combination of hard rock maple, bamboo, and fiberglass in 8 layers, with a modest concave to improve grip. It’s topped with a vibration-absorbing foam grip tape, with 50-degree trucks with 90A durometer bushings to make turning easy and the platform very stable. The weight of the board with battery and motor, etc. is 18 lbs.

The dual hub motors are an upgrade from the 500W versions used in their 2S Pro skateboard, and they’ve improved the ESC and battery to allow speeds of up to 45km/h (28 mph). The battery is 12S2P, 216Wh, and charges fully in 2.5-3 hours using the included 2.0A charger.

Speed is controlled by an OLED hand controller, and riders can choose different modes. Mode 1, for example, has a very slow acceleration curve for beginners. The board offers options of 90mm or 105mm wheels or comes as a set with both sizes. The claimed range on the 90mm wheels is 23km, and 16km for the 105mm wheels. The price for the 90mm version is $499.99, with 105mm wheels, it’s $579.99 and for the combo, it’s $619.99.
