Wing Freedom ST Under 40 Lbs.

Wing Bikes launches 25 mph Freedom ST electric bike with sub-40 lb. weight

The Wing Freedom ST aims to make commuter e-bikes more accessible with car-like dependability and a sub-40 lb. weight!

The Freedom ST is designed for rider comfort, from the step-through frame to the more diverse rider height range (being able to fit people from 5’1″ to 6’2″). But everything else is true to the Wing style and performance.

While other Wing bikes have their integrated lights at the front and rear of the top tube, the LED lights still protrude from the frame with the same Wing aesthetic we know. Meanwhile, the rear Bafang hub motor offers 550 W of power and 45 Nm of torque, giving this e-bike a top speed of 25 mph.

The 36 V battery is integrated into the frame for a sleek look, and it’s lockable as well as removable. It comes in three options of 8.8 Ah (for up to 35 miles of range with pedal assist), 104 Ah (up to 45 miles) and 14 Ah (60 miles). If you don’t need as much range in a single ride but need some more “oomph,” the Freedom ST has an optional throttle add-on.

There’s also the Shimano Tourney 7-speed derailleur and the mechanical disc brakes on 180 mm rotors. Plus, the built-in display shows riders their speed, distance, assist level, battery level, and more. For all of these solid commuter bike details, the Freedom ST‘s price starts at $1,548, another affordable option from Wing.
