Powered surfboards make it easier for more people to experience the magic of surfing — but what about the magic of flight?

Lift Foils, a pioneer of electric foiling boards, has recently launched what they call the “most customizable, most powerful eFoil ever made.” The new battery system can offer riders up to 2.5 hours flying above the waves at a top speed of 30 mph.

The Lift4 board’s custom marbled carbon fiber board comes in three sizes, all with a dozen finishes you can choose from:

  • Pro: 4 ft 2 inches (1.27 meters)
  • Sport: 4 ft 9 inches (1.44 meters)
  • Cruiser: 5 ft 4 inches (1.6 meters)

The propulsion system features a full carbon fiber mast available in two sizes — 28 inches or 32 inches. The motor unit includes a hand-polished and anodized aluminum propeller that can be swapped out via the proprietary Lift Connect System.

The eBox, which controls the setup, has been upgraded with technology that significantly reduces vibration and noise. It includes a wireless hand controller that is ruggedized and features an improved trigger and spring assembly. The controller also offers data readouts by pairing with the board over Bluetooth 5, and it’s powered by two AA-sized batteries for more than 40 hours of use.

Puerto Rico-based Lift Foils has also introduced a new lineup of front wings that have been designed to provide stability at high speeds, giving riders a greater feeling of control. The Camber Pro Series wings join the High Aspect and Surf designs, with options in small, medium, and large for whatever performance, maneuverability, or stability you’re looking for.

The Gen4 batteries have high-capacity cells wrapped in rugged housing, allowing for up to an hour and a half on the water per 30-minute charge with the Light pack or 2.5 hours with the Full Range version for every 50 minutes that it’s plugged in.

Prices start at $11,995 for the Lift4 with a Light battery and $12,995 for models with the Full Range battery.

Founder and CEO Nick Leason said that “riding an eFoil is not only about going out and surfing, but also about silencing your mind, getting into a flow state, and connecting with nature.” The new features and cutting-edge technology on the Lift4 allow riders to do just that, and he believes that customers will be excited to experience this novel craft that the company has been working to perfect.
