  • ZEROVA Technologies will be adopting the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors for all their AC and DC charging stations.
  • This move aims to provide a unified charging experience for electric vehicle owners with Level 2 and Level 3 chargers available.
  • The company plans to start shipping its NACS-equipped products by Q4 of this year.

ZEROVA Technologies, a global manufacturer of EV charging solutions, has pledged to integrate the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors into all of its EV charging stations across the United States and Canada. Plenty of brands are already planning to adopt NACS, so this whole plan helps to streamline EV charging across much of North America.

Embracing the Charge: The Rise of NACS

Manny Huguez, the Vice President of Sales at ZEROVA Technologies USA, spoke about the upcoming development. “We are thrilled with the growing demand for NACS worldwide,” he said. “As a leader in delivering diversified EV charging solutions, this launch will bring greater flexibility and charging speeds to customers while contributing to the flourishing growth of North American EV infrastructure.”

The integration of NACS connectors won’t be confined to a specific realm of charging. ZEROVA’s commitment spans both AC and DC products, ensuring that EV owners from coast to coast can experience the benefits of standardized charging. Whether it’s a Level 2 (AC) charge or a speedy Level 3 (DC) charge, more NACS connectors means a more unified charging experience that drivers can rely on.

Seamless Transition: NACS Retrofit Kits

ZEROVA Technologies aims to start shipping products equipped with NACS connectors as early as Q4 of 2023.

However, the brand does recognize the importance of transitioning smoothly into this new charging era. For chargers that are already in operation, the company will offer NACS retrofit kits. These kits will allow authorized partners to seamlessly replace cables, all while upholding strict safety compliance measures. This means that existing charging infrastructure can be upgraded to align with the latest standards without a hitch.
