Show-Stopping Builds and Serious EV Vibes
Presented by Yokohama Tires, Electrify Showoff brought its A-game to Austin. Over a dozen vendors and exhibitors lined the space, showcasing everything from custom electric vehicles and bikes to conversion kits and aftermarket parts.
Vendors like Meguiar’s, AlloyGator, and POR-15 were key players, but the spotlight shone brightest on the customized builds.
“Yokohama came to Austin with the heat,” Tjin said, pointing out their three custom builds that drew a crowd all weekend. The Yokohama DJ booth kept the energy high with beats that matched the event’s dynamic vibe.
Meanwhile, Super73 delivered some of the most creative custom electric bikes of the year, packing their booth with fans from the moment the gates opened.
One newcomer that turned heads was Monday Motor. Debuting three custom e-bikes in Austin, they gave attendees a taste of what to expect as they tour more cities in 2025. Hankook Tires also lived up to its reputation as a fan favorite with its engaging simulators, collectible pins, and an impressive lineup of EV tires.

A Closer Look at the Best EV Builds at Electrify Showoff
The competition at Electrify Showoff in Austin hit a new high, with awards recognizing the year’s most creative and advanced projects.
The Best of Show award, presented by Yokohama, went to the remarkable Operation Breakthrough x MindDrive 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. This classic muscle car was completely restored and converted to electric by over 80 students from under-resourced communities at the Ignition Lab, part of Operation Breakthrough.
Equipped with a Tesla Model S rear-drive unit and an 87 kWh battery pack, the Chevelle combines vintage charm with innovative engineering. From its stunning Garnet Red paint job to a 1200-watt stereo system, this one-of-a-kind electric muscle car showcases the potential for EV conversions.
Even better, you can enter to win this Chevelle SS, but eligibility is open to anyone 18+ living in Kansas or Missouri. All proceeds support future youth-driven projects at MindDrive and Operation Breakthrough’s Ignition Lab, ensuring the next generation of innovators gets hands-on experience in real-world EV technology.
“It’s the attention to detail that makes this build stand out,” said Luis Vega, Head Judge of Electrify Showoff. The Chevelle’s updated interior retained the vintage aesthetic while integrating modern EV features like a Dakota Digital Dash. Add in its customized heating and cooling systems for the battery pack, and this car is as functional as it is beautiful.
