Chrysler is revving up for its return to Electrify Expo Long Beach, which is being held May 19-21. While Chrysler is at Electrify Expo, they’ll be allowing attendees to get behind the wheel of the new Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid and take it for a test drive. They will also be showcasing a specialized Pacifica plug-in hybrid that was uniquely modified by VANkulture, the online community that celebrates uniquely modified minivans.
2023 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid
The Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid is the first – and still the only – plug-in hybrid within the minivan segment. It features an all electric-range of over 30 miles and a total range of over 500 miles, thanks to its 80+ MPGe fuel efficiency. The Pacifica plug-in is also the only minivan that’s eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit, on top of any available state and local tax credits.
The Pacifica plug-in hybrid is designed to alleviate range anxiety for drivers who might be new to electrified cars. It removes the need for the driver to select between electric and hybrid modes, thanks to the innovative, Stellantis-designed dual-motor eFlite electrically variable transmission (EVT), which comes paired with a specially modified version of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 gas engine.
The built-in regenerative braking system can help charge the battery when braking or stopping. Plus, this hybrid comes with a standard Max Regeneration cluster messaging icon to let drivers know about increased system regeneration.
Safety is a top priority for Chrysler, and the Pacifica model leads the pack in its class with the most standard safety features – over 115, actually. Adaptive cruise control, Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking, and Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking are just a few of the safety and security features it offers.
