Together we will provide an accessible path for both consumer and delivery riders to adopt sustainable urban mobility and play a key role in battling climate change and making the world better for all.”

Copec’s CEO, Arturo Natho, echoes Luke’s sentiments, highlighting the transformative potential of the collaboration: “The implementation of Gogoro’s battery swapping system in Chile and Colombia is our first entry into two-wheel electric mobility, which means that sustainable mobility will reach many more segments of the population.”

Through this partnership, Copec aims to extend the benefits of electrification and foster positive impacts on communities across the region. The initiative will see the establishment of the first Latin American network of battery swapping stations, initially launching at Copec service stations in Santiago, Chile, and with Terpel, a Copec subsidiary, in Bogota, Colombia.

The integration of Gogoro’s battery swapping technology with Copec’s extensive network of service stations indicates the commitment to providing customers with a seamless and reliable ride experience. Leveraging advanced real-time monitoring and diagnostics through the Gogoro Network cloud service, both companies ensure optimal performance and safety for Smartscooter riders.
