EHang Holdings Limited, a global leader in autonomous aerial vehicles, has achieved a feat in Abu Dhabi. With the successful completion of the world’s first passenger-carrying demo flight of its EH216-S electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, EHang has not only showcased its advanced technology but also moved the UAE into the front line of the global air mobility sector.

EHang’s EH216-S, the world’s first certified passenger-carrying pilotless eVTOL aircraft, soared through the skies of Abu Dhabi, showcasing its advanced capabilities in autonomous flight. The flight, which took place at the Emirates Falcons Aviation Club in Al Ali, Abu Dhabi, received praise from honored guests, including members of the Emirati royal family, civil aviation authorities, and government officials.
Mr. Mohamed Al Dhaheri, board member of Multi Level Group (MLG), EHang’s local strategic partner, expressed his excitement about the historic moment, stating, “Being part of this historic moment is truly exhilarating. The seamless integration of technology and aviation represents a significant leap forward for our nation, and as an Emirati, I am proud to be a part of it.”
EHang’s EH216 series of pilotless eVTOL aircraft, including models designed for high-rise firefighting and aerial logistics, demonstrated their versatility during the event, highlighting the diverse range of UAM use scenarios. With their compact fuselage, high redundancy design, and intelligent cluster management, these aircraft are ready to address urban mobility challenges such as emissions and congestion effectively.
