  • EV tech improved with 211+ mile average range and better batteries.
  • Major automakers are developing EVs with longer ranges, including budget-friendly options like the Nissan Leaf.
  • Short-range EV myth is outdated. With 60K+ US public charging stations, it’s time to embrace eco-friendly modern EVs.

Outdated EV range beliefs persist but it’s time to challenge them. Are you aware that modern EVs can go further than ever before?

A report by Electric Vehicle Database found that the average range for an all-electric vehicle now exceeds 211 miles!

And the good news doesn’t stop there. With advances in battery technology, that range is only going to get better with time.

Enhanced Driving Range for Affordable and High-End Electric Vehicles

Automakers like Tesla, Ford, General Motors and Polestar are on a mission to develop longer-range EVs. The Lucid Air Dream Edition R, for instance, already has a range of over 400 miles, which is more than enough for most drivers.

However, it’s not only high-end cars that are experiencing an increase in driving distance. Even affordable electric vehicles such as the Nissan Leaf now feature a range of more than 225 miles. This is sufficient for your daily transportation requirements.

Sure, some challenges, like charging station availability, remain, but that’s quickly changing too! The United States already has over 60,000 public charging stations, and that number is growing.

So, Where Did This Myth About Short-Range EVs Come From?

Perhaps it’s based on outdated information from the early days of EVs when range was more limited, but the truth is that EVs have come a long way since then.

In an interview, Lucid Motors CEO Peter Rawlinson debunked the myth of range anxiety, stating, “the whole thing about range anxiety is a complete red herring now. It’s gone.” As the number of electric vehicles on the road continues to grow, it’s time to discover the full potential of modern EVs!

Don’t miss out on the benefits of EVs and discover why range anxiety is a thing of the past and switch to electric today.

  1. Of charging at home overnight, and have a very long power cut you are stuck and going nowhere! I will stick to my diesel car!

      1. But if your tank is full or even down to reserve you can still use it.
No way will I ever buy an EV, even if the manufactures say the milagdl is improving you still have to plan every trip to find charging stations and if its closed, broken or a long line waiting your stuffed.

  2. I am sorry but 215miles range is not good enough…..I am going to wales from suffolk in july. I would not be able to get there….I have no idea if I can charge an ev in tywyn.
I will stick to my 2009 bmw 116d. The range is nearly 600 miles at 50mpg, meaningI can drive to my holiday with out stress drive for all of the week and not even have to fill up to get home…..
Electric vehicles just do not cut it for me.

    1. I live in noosa and commute daily to and from Darwin for work., only 3700km each way. My ev wont get there in a single charge, so i will not use it for that purpose. Otherwise its perfect as a daily driver, Ev vehicles are the future in the way that petrol cars replaced horses in the early 1900s.
