New Investors Mean New Projects
The pool of investors for this round showcases a diverse and influential group, including the London-based financial giant HSBC and the Boston-based HITE Hedge Asset Management. Industrial real estate and digital infrastructure specialist Goodman Group, alongside executives from renowned global brands and logistics companies, have shown their support.
The proceeds of this Series B funding will be strategically allocated to several crucial areas to further propel Windrose Technology toward its goal of global electrification in the heavy-duty trucking industry. A significant portion of the funds will be dedicated to accelerating the testing and deployment of Windrose Technology’s pioneering electric long-haul trucks on a global scale.
The investment will facilitate the establishment of a new supply chain center and a state-of-the-art production facility. These new hubs are expected to streamline operations, enhance production capacity, and ensure the scalability required to meet the growing demand for electric semi trucks.
Additionally, recognizing the importance of supporting infrastructure for electric vehicles, a part of the financing will be directed toward the implementation of fast-charging infrastructure. Notably, the initiative includes the first installation of one of the world’s fastest megawatt-level chargers.
This trailblazing EV charging infrastructure will be located at Goodman’s Citylink property near Beijing, China, and is slated to become operational in the second quarter of 2024.

In April, a historic collaboration between BorgWarner New Energy (Xiangyang) Co., Ltd, Goodman Group, Windrose Technology, and Decathlon China was announced. A revolutionary, new 960kW megawatt charging system was implemented in China, through Windrose Technology’s cutting-edge electric semi trucks, which are equipped with a colossal 729kWh battery capacity.
Typically, most electric semi-truck batteries in China have capacities of 280kWh or 350kWh. Additionally, the batteries typically have a rated voltage of 618V and a current capacity of 400A. Most vehicles generally support a charging power of about 280kW. Therefore, this breakthrough by Windrose is significant.
