It’s important that e-biking is accessible to everyone, whether it’s for daily commutes, leisurely rides, or off-road adventures. Bosch is taking this to heart and has developed its own innovative e-bike system that’s designed to give the smoothest riding experience possible

The multi-sensor concept allows support from the e-bike’s motor to be perfectly coordinated with the rider. The sensors measure torque, speed, and acceleration more than 1,000 times per second, ensuring seamless interaction between the rider and their bike.

Available Drive Systems

Bosch offers a range of drive systems for e-bikes that feature powerful motors and efficient batteries, providing riders with the support they need to tackle even the toughest terrain. The Performance Line CX, in particular, is designed for off-road use and offers up to 340% pedal assistance, while the Performance Line Speed can reach speeds of up to 28 mph — depending on location and local laws.

It’s worth noting that in the US, the maximum speed for an eBike is 20 mph, so the Bosch system will shut off motor support automatically once the bike reaches that speed.

Performance Line Speed: With the Performance Line Speed, the e-bike can travel at speeds up to 45 km/h for fast commuting.
Performance Line CX: The Performance Line CX offers a unique eMTB experience, featuring a compact, lightweight, and smart drive unit ideal for demanding and connected e-bikers.
Performance Line CX Race: Perfect for professional eMTB and ambitious recreational athletes, the Performance Line CX Race Limited Edition is a powerful and versatile drive system.

Components and Accessories

As well as the drive systems, Bosch also offers a range of components and accessories to enhance the e-biking experience. These include displays, batteries, and chargers, as well as lights, locks, and even a smartphone hub that allows riders to connect their devices to their e-bikes.

A New Generation of Batteries

Frame battery: This frame battery sits close to the bike’s center of gravity to ensure optimal weight distribution.
Luggage rack battery: On step-through bikes, the luggage rack battery frees up space to allow the rider to mount and dismount safely.
Integrated battery: Bosch’s PowerTube can be integrated perfectly into the frame, creating a clean eBike look.
DualBattery: This gives double the power by linking two Bosch batteries to deliver up to 1,250 Wh to provide greater range. This is ideal for touring bikes, long-distance commuters, and cargo bikers.
