Scott has set the bar high when it comes to top-shelf, lightweight e-bikes – and its latest Solace model is a 2-in-1 all-star!
This week, Scott’s version of a fat man in a red suit dropped the clean, lightweight Solace eRide on an unsuspecting cycling word while it’s focused on cold snaps and holiday dinners. And, let us just say: wow.
The new Scott Solace e-bike is an impressive road/gravel machine that’s ready to join you on whatever pedal-assisted adventures you have planned. And, with the bike’s carbon fiber frame, low-profile 300W electric drive motor, and an array of frame sizes to ensure you’ve got the right fit, the Solace is a perfect bike for riders looking for a little “motor doping” boost on pavement, gravel, or both!
The Solace tips the scales at just under 26 lbs. (11.8 kg) for the top-shelf eRide road variant, and just over 27.5 lbs. (12.6 kg) for the brand’s flagship gravel setup.
It’s worth noting that, while Scott offers individual road and gravel builds for sale, it claims that the Solace eRide is “actually” a do-it-all endurance bike, and that owners can swap out different sets of wheels or tires for road or gravel rides, whatever build they buy.
The gravel builds offer a choice of 11- or 12-speed drivetrains, topping out with SRAM Force XPLR eTap AXS electronic shifting. The road builds, meanwhile, offer up a 24-speed setup with a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 RD-R9250 e-shifter set.
