Nothing Swarms Like a Self-driving John Deere Tractor

Nothing Swarms Like a Deere

John Deere has been developing a line of self-driving electric tractors for years, and they’ll be ready to swarm out to farms sooner than you think!

Why are we talking about a John Deere concept that was first teased over a year ago? Because the “autonomous” portion of the autonomous electric Deere was revealed to be fully operational at this year’s CES show in Las Vegas– so what’s the natural follow up to that?

The smart money is on John Deere to follow up a digital concept (shown, above) and an autonomous prototype (click here for that) with an IRL robotic tractor at a big equipment show … A big equipment show like the ACT Expo happening this week in Long Beach, California. (!)

We’ll be at ACT all week, and plan to bring you some great, original content in the coming days. In the meantime check out the big green concept machine in this promotional video, below, then let us know what you think of plans to further automate big farms in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
