  • Carmaker Genesis and electrification solution marketplace Electrum have partnered for broader access to create home electrification options.
  • Genesis Home does already exist and is compatible with several Genesis EV models, but this agreement will expand what the program can offer.
  • Electrum brings with it a technology platform and a national network of pre-vetted installers.

Electrum, the U.S.-based marketplace for home electrification solutions, has recently partnered with South Korean automaker Genesis. Together, they’re launching Genesis Home, a residential electrification ecosystem. The Genesis Home electrification program would offer Genesis car owners a one-stop-shop to purchase all of their EV chargers, solar panels, and energy storage systems.

How Will Genesis Home Work?

Electrum would provide Genesis with a technology platform, “Energy Advisors” to help configure home energy systems, and access to a nationwide network of pre-vetted installers.

The electrification system aims to provide a unique customer experience, offering customizable solutions that can be tailored to each homeowner’s specific needs.

The know-how of Electrum’s Energy Advisors and the network of pre-vetted installers would offer homeowners a turnkey solution for fully making the switch to electric mobility and also reducing their individual carbon footprint.

Is Genesis Home Available Right Now?

Yep! Genesis Home currently does offer a range of home electrification solutions in various major U.S. markets. They can get you set up with EV chargers, solar panels, and energy storage systems in your home.

These solutions are already compatible with any current Genesis electric car model, like the GV60, the Electrified G80, and the Electrified GV70.

Max Aram, CEO of Electrum, thinks the partnership will be meaningful: “Our partnership with Genesis marks a significant step forward for Electrum in our mission to deliver sustainable and affordable home electrification solutions to customers. … “We’re thrilled to collaborate with such a great partner and consumer brand to empower EV shoppers to electrify their homes through a seamless electrification marketplace that is built on top of a strong network of contractors.”
