The new facility at Howerton Way will serve as the central hub for Blink’s in-house manufacturing and production in North America, aligning with the Build America, Buy America Act.

To meet the rapidly increasing demand for electric vehicles and their charging infrastructure, Blink plans to expand its production capacity to over 50,000 charging units annually. Maryland will play a pivotal role in this expansion, serving as the assembly site for Blink’s Series 6, Series 7, and Series 8 Level 2 (L2) chargers.

Among the company’s investments in Maryland is the establishment of the Blink Center of Charging Excellence, which will feature state-of-the-art facilities for vehicle interoperability testing, charger certification, and research and development.
