DeLorean is Back, and It’s Electric

With its timeless Giugiaro-designed stainless steel body and iconic gullwing doors, the DeLorean DMC-12 didn’t need a generation-defining trilogy of movies to make it a classic, but it got one of those, too.

Gone before its time in a swirl of scandal and rumors, DeLorean never had a chance to grow into its potential – but now? The DMC is back, as announced by a cryptic, shadowy ad.

What is the new DeLorean like? What can we expect? And, most importantly, will it be made of the same stainless steel skin as the original?

There’s no way to know … but we can speculate wildly! Last year, the usually credible Robb Report published concept art by a car designer named Angel Guerra that, if you squint really hard and believe just a bit harder, looks like it might give us a clue to the overall look of the reborn DCM-12.

Take a look for yourselves, then let us know what you think!
