Chrysler Airflow Graphite Concept Still Thrills

  • In 2022, Chrysler had unveiled the Airflow Graphite Concept, a car that turned heads and got fans excited about Chrysler going electric.
  • The concept incorporates beautiful aesthetics with STLA technology to increase passenger connectivity and offer Level 3 autonomous driving.
  • Chrysler still promised to launch its first battery-electric vehicle by 2025 and have a full battery-electric portfolio by 2028.

Chrysler is revving up for an electric future, and a thrilling development in their journey is the Chrysler Airflow Graphite Concept. This sleek and refined vehicle made its official global auto show debut last year, showcasing a reimagined look for the brand’s electric lineup. Since then, the concept was spotted at the Stellantis dealer meeting in Last Vegas back in March.

The Chrysler Airflow Graphite Concept’s Aesthetics

The Graphite Concept has a sophisticated and urban personality, helped by the Galaxy Black exterior body color and the Cyprus Copper interior and exterior accents that highlight the panoramic glass roof and the impressive 22-inch wheels. Inside, the cabin is a modern and spacious oasis, combining Ice Grey and Cyprus Copper accents to create a rich and comfortable atmosphere. Premium features, sustainable materials, and a calming color palette further enhance the feeling of spaciousness and luxury.

The Airflow Graphite Concept seamlessly integrates technology and comfort inside its cabin. Dark glass sculptures, crystalized textures, and premium materials create an atmosphere of precision and refinement. The unique seating structure maximizes legroom and storage space for each passenger.

Sustainability is also a priority, with recycled materials and vegetable-tanned leather used throughout the vehicle.

Interior Technology

Of course, our excitement for the Chrysler Airflow Graphite Concept isn’t just about the looks. The user experience is agile, intuitive, and fresh, thanks to the STLA Brain and STLA SmartCockpit. These technologies offer personalized experiences for every passenger, connecting them with their digital lives.

With menu-based screens, individual preferences can be easily accessed and shared with others. Plus, built-in cameras enable occupants to participate in video conference calls from the comfort of the cabin.

As for the driving experience, this concept car comes equipped with STLA AutoDrive, which provides Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities that can be upgraded through over-the-air updates.

Performance Details

Now for what’s under the hood. The Airflow Graphite Concept comes with all-wheel drive, powered by two 150 kW electric drive motors positioned at the front and the rear. This design can accommodate larger-capacity motors, paving the way for potential high-performance applications in the future.

By placing the drive motors at the front and the back, this concept car gains its definitive wide stance and large wheel size. And when it comes to range, the battery is designed to go the distance, offering up to 400 miles on a single charge.

Chrysler’s Electric Future

Chris Feuell, the CEO of the Chrysler brand, expressed excitement about the Graphite Concept. “The Chrysler Airflow Graphite Concept, the latest version of our all-electric concept, represents the many possibilities on our brand’s road to an all-electric future. … This new persona of the Airflow highlights the flexibility of the Chrysler brand’s future design direction and our ability to create personalities reflective of our diverse customers. As our brand evolves to offer a full battery-electric vehicle portfolio, we are completely rethinking and reinventing the customer experience.”

Chrysler has big plans for the electric realm. The brand has plans to release their first battery-electric vehicle by 2025, with the goal of offering a fully electric Chrysler lineup by 2028.

And if they keep sharing concepts like the Airflow Graphite, then their future electrified lineup is exciting, indeed.
