Volkswagen is turning nostalgia into something practical with the all-electric 2025 VW ID. Buzz, which is soon to hit American streets. Their latest collaboration with Electrify America gives ID. Starting at $59,995, the VW ID. Buzz comes packed with features that blend the best of the past and present, making it much more than a nod to the classic Microbus. This electric VW bus is more than a stylish throwback. It’s engineered to provide affordable, convenient electric mobility.

Owners also benefit from three years of Electrify America Pass+ membership, granting discounted rates at over 970 charging stations across the U.S. With 500 kWh of complimentary charging included, this package makes the VW electric bus a practical choice for road trips and everyday use.

“We are so excited to bring the all-electric ID. Buzz to American driveways this year,” said Andrew Savvas, Volkswagen’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. “Families can explore and experience all that electric mobility has to offer with three years of Pass+ membership access to the largest open DC fast-charging network in the U.S.”

What does this mean for you? It’s all about accessibility, which is crucial for getting more people to switch to electric vehicles. One of the biggest concerns when moving from gas-powered cars to EVs is charging. If you can’t find a station when you need one, how practical is it? This partnership addresses that concern. The VW ID. Buzz connects to Electrify America’s coast-to-coast network, giving drivers peace of mind on long road trips, knowing they’ll always have a place to recharge.

And it gets even better. With Plug&Charge functionality, ID. Buzz owners don’t even have to fumble with apps or cards. Just plug in, and the charging session starts automatically. “We are thrilled to offer such a comprehensive and convenient charging solution for the electrified ID. Buzz,” said Robert Barrosa, President and CEO of Electrify America.

The Biden-Harris administration’s investment in EV infrastructure makes this experience even better. With $1.3 billion in federal funding to expand EV charging networks, the U.S. is working hard to make EVs accessible across the entire country. According to Barrosa, “With this new charging agreement, ID. Buzz drivers can experience the joy of electric mobility with confidence and convenience,” as more charging stations pop up along major highways and urban centers.

This investment in infrastructure is crucial. As more people adopt EVs, the support system around them is a major concern. The VW ID. Buzz can’t thrive on its own. It needs a strong and dependable charging network. That’s why Volkswagen’s partnership with Electrify America is so important. It provides a cost-effective solution that makes going electric a simple choice for families and commuters.

The ID. Buzz combines modern innovation with a touch of nostalgia, but what makes it truly stand out is Volkswagen’s focus on making electric driving easy, affordable, and fun. This is exactly what consumers should expect from every car manufacturer. Practical solutions that put the driver first while still keeping sustainability in mind.
