In 2024, the Lexus RZ introduces changes, including the new RZ 300e Front Wheel Drive (FWD). The RZ 300e offers an EPA-estimated range of up to 266 miles. The striking Copper Crest color, available in both mono- and bi-tone, was added. All models come standard with a dual-voltage charging cable compatible with 120V and 240V outlets.

Lexus RZ 300e is a Powerhouse of New Features, Offering Impressive Mileage

Powered by a 72.8kWh Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) lithium-ion battery, the 2024 Lexus RZ 300e is a front-wheel-drive-only model that boasts a total system horsepower rating of 201. The RZ 300e has impressive efficiency, with an EPA-estimated range rating of 266 miles when equipped with 18″ wheels. Its EPA-estimated MPGe rating stands at 137/112/125 for city/highway/combined driving. With 20″ wheels, the EPA-estimated range remains considerable at 224 miles, while the EPA-estimated MPGe rating is 114/96/105 for city/highway/combined driving.


The RZ 450e Features DIRECT4, a Powerful All-Wheel Drive System

The DIRECT4 system is integrated into the RZ 450e. This innovative system features a rear eAxle that works in harmony with the engine and front motor. The DIRECT4 utilizes two high-output, high-torque eAxle units, each powering a wheelset. The front unit has a 150-kW output, while the rear unit puts out 80-kW. The eAxle units are mounted at three points, each using a lightweight aluminum bracket, placed symmetrically on each side to balance the torque generated by the eAxle. The front-to-rear torque distribution of the DIRECT4 system can range from 100:0 to 0:100, adapting fluidly to the specific driving scenario.

The Lexus RZ 450e’s 71.4 kWh battery, developed by Prime Planet Energy & Solutions (PPES), bolsters the vehicle’s performance credentials with a total system horsepower rating of 308 and a 0-60 acceleration time of just 5.0 seconds. The EPA-estimated range rating of this model is a respectable 220 miles when equipped with 18″ wheels, and it achieves an EPA-estimated MPGe rating of 115/98/107 for city/highway/combined driving. For those opting for 20″ wheels, the RZ 450e maintains impressive efficiency with an EPA-estimated MPGe rating of 102/87/95 and an EPA-estimated range rating of 196 miles.
