  • The 2024 Lexus TX is available with two electrified powertrains.
  • The Lexus TX550h+ PHEV has an all-electric range of about 33 miles.
  • The electrified Lexus TX models have standard DIRECT4 all-wheel drive.

As more drivers turn to large, three-row SUVs, Lexus is delivering with the all-new 2024 Lexus TX. This premium SUV is available with three powertrains, one with a gas-powered engine, another with a mild-hybrid assist system, and a third plug-in hybrid option. All come standard with the legendary Lexus luxury interior features and driving experience.

Trim Levels and the Lexus Driving Signature System

The 2024 Lexus TX comes in five trim levels: Standard, Premium, Luxury, F SPORT Performance Premium, and F Sport Performance Luxury. For a smooth and quiet ride, the Lexus TX sits atop the GA-K platform that distributes weight optimally.

All trims have the Lexus Driving Signature system for agile handling and a strong, rigid body. Whether driving on a straightaway or the curviest mountain roads, the Lexus TX has responsive steering with complete stability.

2024 Lexus TX: Choose Your Powertrain

The Lexus TX350 will come standard with a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder, but drivers who want better fuel economy and a more efficient powertrain can choose an electrified option. The TX500h pairs a mild-hybrid system with the turbocharged 2.4-liter engine. Or, the TX550h+ adds a 3.5-liter V6 with a plug-in hybrid system.

The TX500h Mild-Hybrid SUV

The TX500h has 366 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque thanks to the turbocharged 2.4-liter engine, six-speed automatic transmission, and unique hybrid system. Lexus includes a Power Control Unit and a 64-kW motor along with a 76-kW eAxle with an inverter and motor for the rear wheels. The nickel-metal hydride battery sits below the second row.

The Lexus TX500h is only available in the F SPORT Performance Premium or F SPORT Performance Luxury trims. All trims come with DIRECT4 all-wheel drive. The F SPORT trims have a special AVS damping system to adjust the shock absorbers for a comfortable and sporty ride quality.

The TX550h+ PHEV

The Lexus TX550h+ is the first Lexus SUV with a V6, plug-in hybrid system, and DIRECT4 all-wheel drive. The hybrid technology includes a dual-motor transaxle with 404 horsepower, a lithium-ion battery pack under the cabin, and an expected all-electric range of 33 miles.

Charging the TX550h+ is easy with a Level 1 charging cable or a Level 2 charging system. With the Level 2 system, the TX550h+ charges in about three hours.

This powertrain is only available in the Luxury trim, and it is the only Lexus PHEV assembled in the United States at the Toyota assembly plant in Indiana.

2024 Lexus TX Drive Modes and All-Wheel Drive

Lexus includes Drive Mode Select on the 2024 Lexus TX. The modes let drivers save fuel, enjoy extra torque, or customize their rides.

Normal mode balances performance and fuel efficiency, while ECO mode optimizes fuel use by reducing the throttle response and air conditioning systems. Sport mode gives you a sporty ride with the maximum torque and horsepower. Lexus includes a Custom mode that lets drivers adjust the powertrain, air conditioning, and chassis.

The TX500h and TX550h+ have Trail Mode with integrated all-wheel-drive control, braking, and torque to reduce slipping on gravel or wet roadways.

The three-row SUV has seven USB ports.

Drivers can customize the seating configuration in their 2024 Lexus TX. The second row is available with two captain’s chairs or a 60-40 split-folding bench. The captain’s chairs have standard heating and ventilation. Accessing the third row is easy thanks to the slide-assist walk-in switch on the second-row seats.
