Genesis is committed to putting customers first and being environmentally friendly. The Neolun Concept is a peek into the brand’s vision for the future of electric SUVs. Its name comes from “neo” meaning new in Greek and “luna” meaning moon in Latin. This concept combines Genesis’ drive for advanced technology and design influenced by Korea’s culture and history.

According to Luc Donckerwolke, Genesis Chief Creative Officer, the Neolun Concept draws inspiration from Korea’s iconic moon-shaped porcelain jars, concentrated on sophistication and craftsmanship. “It’s the epitome of timeless design and sophisticated craftsmanship,” he stated.

One of the most striking features of the Neolun Concept is its reductive design philosophy, characterized by clean lines and a focus on essential elements. The vehicle’s exterior features distinctive coach doors, perfectly integrated with electric side steps for added passenger convenience and a flawless exterior aesthetic.

The Neolun Concept’s interior brings a new level of comfort with a modern take on traditional Korean hospitality. Inspired by Korea’s “ondol” tradition, it features a radiant heating system. Plus, passengers enjoy luxury materials like cashmere and naturally dyed leather, ensuring a cozy and relaxing ride.

Meanwhile, the GV60 Magma Concept signals Genesis’ entry into the world of high-performance vehicles. Designed to elevate the driving experience, the GV60 Magma Concept blends stunning aesthetics with advanced technology to ignite passion and excitement on the road, whether driver, passenger or onlooker.

Luc Donckerwolke highlighted Genesis’ dedication to pushing the limits of performance and luxury through the Magma program. “Genesis Magma presents an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of performance and luxury for new interpretations in high-performance vehicles,” he stated.

The GV60 Magma Concept’s exterior design prioritizes aerodynamics and stability during sporty driving, with widened proportions and strategically placed air intakes for optimal cooling and downforce generation.

Inside, the GV60 Magma Concept exudes luxury and sportiness with bucket seats upholstered in premium materials and adorned with intricate stitching patterns. “The GV60 Magma Concept will deliver ample power, instilling customers with the confidence to drive with pure excitement and exhilaration,” Donckerwolke said.

Displayed alongside these visionary concepts were other members of the Genesis Magma program, including the GV80 Coupe Concept, G80 Magma Special, and X Gran Berlinetta Concept, showcasing Genesis’ commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive design and performance.

Racing legend Jacky Ickx, Genesis Brand Partner, expressed his admiration for Genesis’ elegance and design aesthetics, underscoring the brand’s unwavering commitment to excellence.

Visitors at the 2024 New York International Auto Show were awestruck by the newest automotive advancements. Genesis offered a sneak peek into the future with its concept electric vehicles, the Neolun and GV60 Magma, while also proudly displaying its impressive lineup of production models. Something to look forward to from Genesis.
