Hyundai Teases Next Gen Grandeur

New Hyundai Grandeur Sedan Looks Posh Enough To Be A Genesis

Hyundai just teased the next-generation of its flagship Grandeur sedan in Korea — could it come here as a Genesis?

Hyundai is keeping technical details and specs close to its chest for the moment, having just released a few teaser images of its next generation luxury flagship, the Grandeur. This is the brand’s top offering in its home market, and (so far, anyway) it’s not been offered to US buyers — that said, the GV60-style cut-out windows in the c-pillar positively screams “Genesis” to our eyes.

What’s more, we don’t even know what’s powering it. It could be diesel, gasoline, ethanol, or even kerosene. Still, we don’t see any tailpipes — another subtle hint that this car will follow along in Genesis’ “EV only” footsteps, one way or another.

What do you guys think? Is this just wishful thinking from the Genesis fans over at EN, or is this big-budget Hyundai something you could see rolling down US roads? Check out the images, below, then let us know what you think in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
