EVgo and Toyota Extend Complimentary Fast Charging for bZ4X Owners

New owners of the 2024 bZ4X will receive one year of free fast charging on the EVgo nationwide network.

EVgo continues to spearhead initiatives aimed at accelerating the mass adoption of EVs, particularly in charging infrastructure. Recently, another significant achievement was announced with the extension of collaboration between EVgo and Toyota. This extension deepens their dedication to delivering smooth charging solutions for electric vehicle drivers nationwide.

Building upon their initial partnership announced in February 2022, EVgo and Toyota are set to offer new bZ4X owners a better charging experience. Under the extended agreement, drivers purchasing or leasing the 2024 bZ4x will receive one year of complimentary fast charging on EVgo’s expansive nationwide network, comprising over 950 fast charging locations spread across more than 35 states.

Maggie Tallman, Senior Vice President of Business Development at EVgo, highlighted the significance of this extended collaboration, stating, “The expansion of our agreement is a testament to the convenience and accessibility of the EVgo network, as well as to our ongoing commitment to automaker collaborations that help spur the mass adoption of EVs throughout the country.”

This extended collaboration not only addresses the crucial aspect of range confidence for EV drivers but also reinforces the importance of fostering partnerships to create a healthy EV charging network. With access to EVgo’s owned and operated public fast charging network, bZ4X owners can enjoy the freedom to travel coast to coast with ease, knowing that reliable charging infrastructure is readily available.

James George, General Manager of EV Charging Solutions at Toyota Motor North America, echoed this sentiment, affirming, “Our ongoing collaboration with one of the nation’s largest public fast charging companies enables us to grant bZ4X drivers access to EVgo’s extensive nationwide network.”

First-time EV drivers purchasing or leasing the bZ4X will have access to EVgo’s dedicated customer support team, the EVgo Charging Crew, available 24/7 to assist with account setup and address any queries related to charging.
