- Rad Power RadRover 6 Plus: 45+ mile range, powerful 750W motor.
- Puncture-resistant fat tires for off-road fun.
- Safety-first design with certifications and inspections.
Let’s kick things off by talking price. Originally at $2,099, the RadRover 6 fat tire step-thru electric bike (e-bike) by Rad Power is now on sale for a neat $1,799. A decent price tag for a bike promising adventures both big and small. But you have until November 1st to take advantage of this low price, which is the lowest price I’ve ever come across. Now, transitioning from cityscape to mountainscape? Rad Power claims this beast does it all. They’re pretty confident, touting it as “the ebike that started it all.” But here’s the thing: it’s not just about what it promises – it’s about how it delivers.
Performance & Practicality: A Duo We Love
Looking to clock in some serious miles? With a range of up to 45+ miles per charge, you’re set for most adventures. Whether you’re exploring the urban jungle or going off the beaten path, that 750W motor will give you enough power to conquer hills with ease. Honestly, that’s impressive. And as for carrying capacity? 275 lb is nothing to scoff at, folks.
Now, let’s talk tires. Those fat, 26×4” tires aren’t just there for show. Designed to be puncture-resistant, these bad boys make off-roading an absolute dream. And for the riders out there who love customization? Rad Power’s got you covered with a plethora of accessories.
Design & Comfort: Because We All Want a Smooth Ride
The step-thru design? Genius. Especially for riders on the shorter end of the height spectrum. Being able to comfortably pedal and stand over the frame? That’s a significant improvement. Tailor-fit comfort, they say. And from the looks of it, they might just be onto something. Plus, it’s available in two sleek colors, charcoal and glossy white, allowing you to ride in style, no matter your preference
Safety First: And Rad Power Knows It
Safety certifications, reflective striping, LED lights – the RadRover 6 Plus doesn’t compromise. Every single ebike goes through a rigorous 50-point inspection. And when I say rigorous, I mean they’re even double-checking screws. Talk about attention to detail. Plus, those hydraulic-disc brakes promise confident stops, rain or shine.
Diving Even Deeper: Because Why Not?
The suspension? Top-notch. That semi-integrated battery with its 10 LED display? Super handy. And as for the in-house Rad Power-engineered 750W motor? It’s clear they’ve put in the work.
Service & Support
With free, fast shipping and a solid one-year warranty, Rad Power has positioned themselves as not just product-focused, but customer-focused. They’ve got a Help Center to boot, ensuring you’re never left in the dark.
The Verdict?
From my vantage point, the Rad Power RadRover 6 Plus step-thru electric bike with fat tires is a strong contender in the e-bike arena. It packs performance, safety, and style into one neat package. But don’t just take my word for it. Check it out yourself at the next Electrify Expo, and see if it truly lives up to its claim of being a groundbreaking force in the industry. Happy riding!

Owner feedback 1 1/2 years in (out of warranty): Looks good. Overweight. Too high (step over version). High maintanence (tires, brakes, rotors, controller, expensive repairs), Under powered (I have too get off and push it up hills). Cumbersom/akward. Dangerous for seniors. NOT Recommended at all. Not worth the money, pain and headaches. Sorry, I wanted to love it. Stan Shell Beach CA
It’s obvious this person had no idea what he’s talking about. The Rad 5 of which I put on 4300 miles + and passed in to my daughter was a great ebike. ..I since purchased a Rad 6 and has 1400 miles on it so far. These bikes are inexpensive to maintain and easy to work on. Both bikes held up and hold up fine. BTW I’m 81 years old am 6′ 5″ tall and weigh 265. I use it to patrol our senior community and travel with it as my wife does hers. I ride the crap out of it and do not baby it. Also have 2 other seniors that ride Rad will give you the same response…
My wife and me bought 6 Rad power 6 plus bikes not the step through. We love them and gone up som impressive hills in 3rd to 5th with 5 peddle assist and not once had to get off and walk up a hill. Service and support are unmatched in my 75 years we had a battery fit issue on both bikes upon unpacaging and they offered to send two more bikes and someone to package and return the first two. We opted for aobile bike repair rad recommended and he made a service call installed a couple washers end of issue. They paid the bill gave us 50 more refund for our trouble . I am a disabled veteran although they do give a veteran discount when I bought the 599 Hollywood bike rack from them I noticed Hollywood bikes themselves do give a ten percent discount I called rad they immediately gave me a ten percent refund plus an additional $15. These bikes are extremely well made as are all the accessories. Unbelievable company 5 star service
