The Ram Truck brand recently made a striking announcement: Merchants Fleet is set to become a vital commercial customer for the groundbreaking Ram ProMaster electric van. With the van’s official debut set for later this year, Merchants Fleet is boldly stepping forward to purchase an impressive 12,500 units of the Ram ProMaster EV over the course of the next few years.


A Glimpse into the Future

The forthcoming Ram ProMaster EV is primed to revolutionize the market, positioning itself as the first fully electric van offered by Stellantis and the Ram brand in North America. Meanwhile, Merchants Fleet is the fastest-growing fleet management company in the region.

Ram brand CEO Mike Koval Jr. expressed unreserved excitement over this new partnership. “At Ram, we are laser-focused on offering our customers electrified solutions with disruptive, leading-edge, advanced technology that meets real-world demands, and we are thrilled Merchants Fleet recognizes our all-new ProMaster EV will do exactly that,” he said. “Our all-new ProMaster EV is Ram’s first EV offering in North America and an integral step in our electrification journey that will offer more efficient options to all of our customers.” 

Brad Burgess, Senior VP of Fleet Sales and Strategic Solutions at Merchants Fleet, emphasized, “This collaboration allows us to provide our clients with exclusive access to EVs and a level of flexibility they simply can’t get anywhere else.”

The Ram ProMaster EV plays a pivotal role in Ram’s electrification journey, contributing significantly to the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, which aims to lead the charge in innovative, clean, safe, and affordable mobility solutions. 

With Ram’s recent introduction of the all-new Ram 1500 REV battery-electric vehicle, set to debut in 2024, the brand is resolutely moving toward electrified solutions across the majority of its segments by 2025 and throughout all segments no later than 2030.
