  1. I’ve had my RadRunner 2 for a year now and use it for all of my commutes after selling my car. I’ve even used it for transporting some small furniture when I was moving apartments.

It’s probably the best “First E-bike” you can buy, especially for $1.2k. It’s a solid utility bike, even after a year of daily commutes and grocery runs. Personally, I’m ready for something faster now that I’ve dipped my toes into e-biking, but I would definitely recommend the RR2 if you’re getting started.

The only problem is the brand. Rad Power Bikes are overpriced if you buy it directly from their website (my RadRunner 2 was $1.8k+), and they lock you into their accessory ecosystem. Now they’re selling plastic cases for hundreds of dollars. The RadRunner 3 was released this year, but it’s a lot more money for very minor improvements.

Buy the RadRunner 2, but stay away from the accessories.
