Lynk & Co, the Next Day

Lynk & Co The Next Day Concept Debuts To Preview New Design Language

While not (yet) very well known in the US, Chinese brand Lynk & Co is bringing their A-game to the EV market!

Lynk & Co is owned by China’s Geely, which happens to own a few other highly visible enthusiast car brands like Volvo, Lotus, Smart, Zeekr, and Polestar as well. All of which is to say that they know how to build cars, and they have big plans for the upstart brand.

Positioned as a high-end luxury hybrid brand for young urban professionals, Lynk & Co has had a lineup of electrified vehicles on sale in Europe and Asia for over five tears, operating under an innovative lease/subscription model (not totally unlike what’s being offered by Ferry Auto). With the launch of the Next Day Concept, shown here, the company seems ready to take a look into its future— which might include plans to enter the US market somewhat sooner than later.

The concept is described as “a new energy four-door GT” in Lynk & Co literature, looks like a long and low sporty sedan with suicide doors that will do absolutely nothing to help it distance itself from “Lincoln Co.” in North America.

Regardless, the Next Day Concept car certainly looks futuristic to us, with its thin, vertical LED lighting, an angular panel serving as a radiator grille (it’s a PHEV, or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle), and two big, edgy air openings in the bumper that’s flanked by autonomous and drive-by-wire sensors.

Whether or not the look and feel of the new Lynk & Co design direction speaks to you, however, is for you to decide. So, take a look at some of the pictures, below, then let us know what you think in the comments!
