GM built its Hummer EV to be able to go just about anywhere – and that AWD capability is baked into the new Hummer e-bike.
The GMC brand is collaborating with Recon Power Bikes to bring this dual-motored, ultra-powerful e-bike to market in a way that’s totally in keeping with the launch of the 1000 HP all-electric EV. To keep up, Recon gave its new bike full 2400 watts of power.
For those of you keeping score, that’s nearly 10 (ten) times the power you get out of the 250W Trek Allant+ 8S released a few weeks ago. And, sure – that bike is aimed at a different audience, but that doesn’t make the Hummer any less impressive.
“GMC is excited to collaborate with Recon as they develop the GMC Hummer EV AWD e-bike,” said Rich Latek, marketing director for GMC. “With design cues and inspiration taken directly from the GMC Hummer EV supertruck, this e-bike further expands customer’s ability to explore different off-road trails – whether in the vehicle or out on the bike.”
Pricing on the new, dual-motor e-bike is set to start at $3,999, with the first deliveries set to begin this December – just in time for the holidays!
