GM’s Chevrolet brand is celebrating the rebirth of its Bolt EUV model with a spicy new Redline edition for 2023.
Chevy has been offering Redline versions of its internal-combustion models for a few years now. They’re mostly appearance packages aimed at the enthusiast market, and the EUV Redline Edition follows suit with 17″ black wheels with red accents, a special black and red Bolt EUV badge on the rear hatch, and accent decals on the mirror caps in (you guessed it) black and red.
On the inside, the Redline Edition Chevy Bolt EUV gets black leather upholstery with (wait for it …) red accent stitching, which is normally part of an optional Convenience Package on the higher-level Premier trim EUV, but is part of the Redline PKG available on the “lower” LT trim.
Bolt production was halted for over six months while GM dealt with a battery recall that caused as many as 17 fires over the last few years (out of more than 110,000 Bolts produced), but the car is back now with the same 200 hp electric motor, front-wheel drive, and 65-kwh rating from a new, fire-free battery pack that affords the Bolt EUV an EPA-range of 247 miles.
Pricing has yet to be announced, but you can take a look at the new Redline Edition EUV gallery for yourself, below, then let us know what you think of the new EV in the comments section at the bottom of he page.
