Kellys Updates Lightweight eMTB Line

Kellys Updates The Tygon And Tayen E-MTBs With New Panasonic Motor

The electric mountain bike segment continues to grow, with Slovak brand Kellys updating two of its most popular eMTBs.

The hardtail bikes Tayen and Tygon will be getting some new frame construction and an upgraded Panasonic GX Ultimate motor. This lighter-weight system weighs just 2.9 kg (6.4 lbs.) and comes with a nice array of riding modes. The standout mode is Auto, which tailors its pedal assist proportionately to your pedal input, creating a more natural pedal feel and better control across a variety of terrains for maximum eMTB fun.

Both bikes come with a proprietary V10 725 Wh battery pack that weighs 3.7 kg (8.15 lbs.) but offers a remarkable capacity-to-weight ratio at 194 Wh per kg. The battery can charge up on a typical household outlet in six hours.

There’s also the small but helpful Bluetooth color display that shows your speed and battery level, and you can also control the riding modes from it.

Kellys has priced both the Tayen and Tygon starting at €2,999 (about $3,200) with these new models hitting stores soon.
