Genesis is rolling out the 2026 Electrified GV70, a luxury SUV that delivers style, advanced tech, and practical features. Built in Montgomery, Alabama, and Ulsan, Korea, this refreshed model is heading to North American dealerships in the first half of 2025.

With an estimated starting price of $67,000, the Electrified GV70 is positioned to compete strongly in the luxury EV market, offering drivers a mix of sophistication and capability.

Genesis’ Chief Operating Officer, Claudia Márquez, said, “GV70 is our most popular model in North America, and we’ve welcomed over 85,000 customers into the GV70 family in just three short years.”

The 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70 wants to take what you already love – utility, style, and that unmistakable fun-to-drive vibe – and turn it up a notch. But can it go toe-to-toe with big names like the Porsche Macan EV, Polestar 4, and Audi SQ6 e-tron?

Genesis Electrified GV70 Merges Luxury with Function

Genesis doesn’t just slap on an EV badge and call it a day. The Electrified GV70 showcases thoughtful design tweaks that prioritize both aesthetics and function.

Its G-Matrix Crest Grille, for instance, is redesigned to incorporate an electric motor charging port door that opens and closes with the precision you’d expect from a luxury brand. A heating element ensures it operates smoothly in cold weather, and new lighting around the port makes charging at night or in dimly lit parking garages much more convenient.

Pair that with the signature two-line MLA headlamps, and you get an exterior that’s distinctive without being over-the-top.

Meanwhile, the updated interior follows Genesis’ “Beauty of White Space” philosophy. The cabin features a stunning 27-inch OLED display that integrates the cluster and infotainment systems into one seamless unit.

For those who obsess over the details, the Electrified GV70 comes in six exterior colors, with options like the otherworldly Ceres Blue (yes, it’s inspired by the dwarf planet). Inside, you’ll choose between two interior palettes, both executed with premium materials that make sitting in traffic a little less soul-crushing.

Tech That Works for You, Not the Other Way Around

The Electrified GV70 delivers practicality where it matters most. Charging your vehicle should be seamless, and this SUV has you covered. Equipped with a North American Charging Standard (NACS; SAE J3400) port and a CCS adapter, you can access over 36,000 DC fast chargers across the country.

Voice recognition controls add another layer of convenience. Adjusting the HVAC settings or opening a window is as easy as speaking the command. Over-the-air updates mean the tech inside your Electrified GV70 will stay current long after you’ve driven off the lot.

And don’t overlook Terrain Mode, which optimizes performance for snow, mud, or sand, because sometimes, your luxury SUV needs to get a little dirty.

Electrified GV70 Competes with Top EV SUVs on Power and Performance

The Electrified GV70 features an 84 kWh battery, placing it firmly among competitors like the Porsche Macan EV with its 95 kWh battery, the Audi SQ6 e-tron at 94.9 kWh, the Polestar 4 at 94 kWh, and even the Tesla Model Y at 75 kWh. While Genesis has yet to announce an official range, the battery capacity suggests it will provide the flexibility that EV buyers prioritize.

This SUV gets the balance between power and efficiency just right. The Electrified GV70 feels lively and engaging on the road, delivering a driving experience that’s anything but dull. For those of you worried an EV might feel too disconnected, Genesis has found a way to make driving exciting while keeping the luxury feel intact.

Electric GV70 Balances Comfort and Performance

The electric GV70 delivers comfort as thoughtfully as it handles performance. With the available Bang & Olufsen sound system, your favorite playlist comes alive, filling the cabin with rich, immersive audio. Triple-zone climate control keeps everyone at their ideal temperature, no matter where they’re seated.

Genesis also didn’t overlook the small stuff, either. The wireless charging pad has been moved to a more practical spot, so it’s always within reach when you need it. These details show that this SUV wasn’t rushed and was designed with real drivers and passengers in mind.

A Growing Presence in North America

With the Electrified GV70 expected to strengthen Genesis’ foothold in the luxury EV segment, the brand isn’t stopping there. Genesis has opened 60 standalone retail facilities in just three years, including new locations in Washington, Minnesota, Florida, and New York.

By expanding its physical presence, Genesis ensures its growing customer base has better access to the elevated service experience the brand is known for.

Is It Worth the Price Tag?

Starting at around $67,000, the Electrified GV70 holds its own in the luxury EV market. While it may not be the lowest-priced option, the balance of sophistication, performance, and thoughtful features makes it worth considering.

If you’re looking for an electric SUV that feels refined and truly enjoyable to drive, the Genesis GV70 should be on your radar.
