In just 25.79 seconds, the Rimac Nevera R blasts from 0 to 400 km/h, then comes to a complete stop. World record.
How did Rimac build a performance electric car that could top its own title so quickly? The answer lies in a complete overhaul. They upgraded nearly everything and went all in. The Nevera R cranks out 2,107 horsepower through four electric motors, one at each wheel, delivering precisely calculated torque through its next-gen vectoring system.

These four motors work together with astonishing speed, recalculating power delivery to each wheel 100 times per second to maintain grip and balance.
The aerodynamics got a serious overhaul. A fixed rear wing increases downforce by 15%, and the entire setup achieves a 10% gain in aerodynamic efficiency. Michelin Cup 2 tires were specifically selected to sharpen grip, reduce understeer by 10%, and increase lateral traction by 5 percent.
Mate Rimac, the Founder and CEO, stated, “Breaking records is in our DNA, and we won’t stop here.”

That obsession with breaking records has produced some mouth-wide-open numbers. The Nevera R hits 0 to 60 mph in just 1.66 seconds, trimming 0.08 seconds off the original Nevera. It reaches 100 mph in 2.96 seconds, a 0.25-second improvement.
From a standstill to 200 mph takes only 9.25 seconds, cutting down the previous time by 1.61 seconds. It completes the quarter mile in 7.90 seconds and the standing mile in 19.71. And when it comes to flat-out speed, the Nevera R tops out at 268.2 mph, making it the fastest production electric hypercar to date.

In total, the Nevera R shattered 24 independently verified records, including acceleration, braking, and top speed categories. For context, the original Nevera made headlines in 2023 by logging 23 records in one day at the Papenburg test facility in Germany, including a 29.93-second 0 to 400 to 0 km/h run.
The Nevera R erased every one of those figures. Its final high-speed validation, confirmed by Dewesoft, came just ahead of the customer deliveries for the exclusive 40-unit production run.

This electric hypercar isn’t alone in its pursuit of raw speed and stats. Several Chinese automakers are closing the gap. Xiaomi’s SU7 Ultra recently completed a lap of the Nürburgring in 7 minutes and 4.96 seconds, outpacing both the Tesla Model S Plaid and the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT. This lap time places it at the front of the EV sedan segment in terms of track performance.

Meanwhile, Zeekr is rumored to be developing a quad-motor hypercar with an output exceeding 2,000 horsepower, designed to challenge the fastest electric vehicles available today.
In a different category of performance, the Lucid Air Grand Touring has just earned a Guinness World Record for the longest distance driven on a single charge, covering 1,205 kilometers (749 miles) across Europe.

Rimac’s focus goes well beyond chasing record sheets. Engineers made specific mechanical changes with real driving benefits in mind. The torque vectoring system was fine-tuned to improve how precisely power is distributed between the four electric motors. Aerodynamic adjustments help stabilize the car at high speeds by improving airflow and increasing downforce. The tire upgrades also play a role, giving the Nevera R sharper grip and quicker response during aggressive acceleration, especially at speeds over 100 mph.
What makes this even more impressive is that the car maintains real-world comfort. Despite its performance credentials, the Nevera R still feels usable for daily driving. It combines hypercar acceleration with everyday practicality, offering something rare in the category of electric hypercars.
