Fiat has announced its re-entry into the world of small crossovers with the launch of the new Fiat 600e, an electric vehicle (EV) boasting ample space, impressive electric range, and an immersive multi-sensory experience. The automaker aims to make sustainable urban mobility more accessible and enjoyable.

A modern take on a classic

Fiat

The Fiat 600e is an exciting addition to the brand’s EV range, offering an upgraded version of what B-segment lovers appreciate: more space, greater range, and an enhanced Dolce Vita feel. The vehicle aims to provide a pampering, joyful driving experience that combines the best elements of SUV and subcompact categories.

This release follows the success of its namesake, the best-selling Fiat 600 of the ’50s. The 600e places itself squarely in the heart of the growing B segment and is designed to appeal to both urban dwellers and outdoor enthusiasts.

It shares the same e-CMP platform as the Jeep Avenger. This architecture will also go into updated versions of the Vauxhall Mokka and Peugeot e-2008, which are also part of the Stellantis stable.

Versatility and capability

Available as a five-door model, the 600e offers impressive interior space with five seats and 15 liters of interior storage. The 54 kWh lithium-ion battery powers the vehicle for around 250 miles in the WLTP combined cycle and more than 370 miles in urban environments. This makes the 600e ideal for daily city use and longer weekend trips.

The 600e also features a 100 kW fast charger system, allowing the battery to reach 80% charge in less than 30 minutes. Moreover, it comes with three driving modes — eco, normal, and sport — allowing drivers to choose a mode that matches their driving style.

Italian style meets advanced technology

Drawing on Fiat’s heritage of Italian design, the 600e takes this flair for style but also incorporates many innovative features, including color therapy and massage functions for a truly multi-sensory experience. It also offers an extensive range of safety features, including level 2 assisted driving and various sensor-based systems for more convenient urban and extra-urban mobility.

In addition to the standard Fiat 600e, the automaker has also introduced the Fiat (600e)RED. This model extends Fiat’s partnership with (RED), offering an eco-friendly mobility solution aimed at younger customers. It sports red accents both outside and inside, serving as a symbol of the ongoing battle against preventable diseases.

For those seeking a premium experience, the Fiat 600e La Prima offers a stylish, tech-packed ride. Available in four colors inspired by Italian landscapes, the vehicle promises to deliver an immersive Dolce Vita experience.

Both the Fiat (600e)RED and La Prima are already available to order in Europe, with the first units set to hit the Italian market by September.
