GM’s top-shelf luxury division announced that prices for its Cadillac LYRIQ electric crossover start at $61,795— with 312 mile range!
Cadillac announced new details highlighting the path the brand is taking towards its all-electric future, including ordering information, pricing for its new LYRIQ EV, and news that the EPA-estimated range for the base RWD LYRIQ was expected to exceed 300 miles.
The company also announced a special charging offer, designed to simplify the charging experience for LYRIQ buyers. When they take delivery of their new Caddy, they’ll receive a choice between two years of unlimited public charging credits at EVgo charging stations nationwide or a credit of up to $1,500 toward home charger installation (through Qmerit).
“This unique offer will elevate our customers’ experience with the LYRIQ, helping them make a smoother, more transparent transition to all-electric driving,” said Global Cadillac Vice President, Rory Harvey. “Like the LYRIQ itself, the charging experience will set the standard for customers’ EV experiences.”
The car was designed on GM’s premier Ultium battery platform to deliver, “stirring performance capabilities” thanks to a 12-module, 100 kWh battery pack that pouts out 340 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque in the RWD model, with the dual-motor AWD model pumping out up to 500 hp. (!?)
Charging performance, too, will be top-notch, with Cadillac’s official release citing at-home Level 2 (AC) charge rates of up to 19.2 kW. In English, that means you can get more than 50 miles of range per hour of charge, at home. And, with DC fast charging rates of up to 190 kW, you can get more than 150 miles of range in under 20 minutes on the road.
Sounds great to us— but don’t take our words for it. Check out the Cadillac LYRIQ photo gallery, below, then let us know what you think of GM’s big Tesla-fighter in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
