Domino’s Adding Over 1,100 Chevy Bolt EVs to Delivery Fleet

  • Domino’s Pizza already has 800 Chevy Bolt EVs delivering pizza around the country.
  • Having a fleet of EVs opens the employee pool, as delivery drivers no longer need their own vehicles.
  • Domino’s works with Enterprise Fleet Management to acquire and care for the EV fleet.

By the end of 2023, the Domino’s Pizza delivery fleet will have more than 1,100 new Chevy Bolt EVs. Adding the 2023 EVs makes Domino’s more than the largest pizza company in the world. The pizza giant also has the largest electric pizza delivery fleet in the United States.

Back in November 2022, the pizza giant announced they would have 800 EVs delivering their scrumptious fare by the end of 2023. Domino’s has already achieved this goal with 800 EVs delivering pizzas around the country.

Benefits of Having an EV Fleet

Domino’s introduces a Chevy Bolt powered delivery fleet

As franchisees continue to show enthusiasm about the EV fleet, Domino’s has ordered 300 more Chevy Bolt EVs.

These branded EVs provide several advantages for Domino’s stores and franchisees. The Bolt EV has a range of 259 miles with zero tailpipe emissions, plenty of advanced safety features, and minimal maintenance costs compared to gas-powered cars. To let Domino’s franchisees focus on pizza and customers, the company has partnered with Enterprise Fleet Management for vehicle acquisition and care.

Increasing the Employee Pool

Before adding EVs to the fleet, pizza delivery drivers used their own vehicles. Having a fleet of EVs means that Domino’s can hire delivery drivers who may not have a vehicle of their own, thus increasing their pool of potential employees.

You can see if Domino’s has EV pizza delivery near you by visiting their website. The website also shares information about vehicles arriving by the end of the year.

Domino’s has over 20,000 stores and had over $17.5 billion in sales in 2022. The company focuses on making delicious pizza and selling it through innovative technology on platforms like Facebook Messenger, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa.
