RYSE eVTOL Set to Take Flight at CES ’23

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has become a de-facto EV show in recent years, and now it’s taking to the skies!

RYSE Aero Technologies will make history as the first eVTOL company to fly a craft at the CES, scheduled for this coming weekend in Las Vegas. RYSE’s Director of Regulatory Affairs and Aerodynamics, Erik Stephansen, will fly daily on-site demonstrations of the craft they’ve dubbed the RECON in the West Plaza outside the Las Vegas Convention Center at outdoor demo booth #WP-20.

“Being the first aircraft to fly at CES is a big milestone for our company and product,” said Mick Kowitz, CEO of RYSE Aero Technologies. “Demonstrating the world’s first aerial utility vehicle (AUV) that anyone can fly at the most influential tech event in the world is an exciting opportunity for us. We have built this vehicle with the consumer in mind and we think everyone will identify with the RECON immediately.”

The RECON is an all-electric aerial ATV that’s designed to make individual flights possible for anyone, irrespective of their skill level or a lack of pilot’s certification. The RYSE RECON has already been conducting demonstrations at agriculture and farming expos to show off how a craft like this could have practical applications.

Visitors to both of RYSE’s indoor and outdoor demo booths will have the chance to learn about the latest feature enhancements of the RECON, including its Simplified Vehicle Operations Systems (SVO), which gives pilots a low, easy learning curve. Folks can also learn about this eVTOL‘s Distributed Electric Propulsion (DEP), which increases safety and reliability, in addition to its redundant artificial intelligence systems and enhanced battery pack capacity.

“As the world’s largest innovation stage, CES provides an unparalleled opportunity to showcase the RECON’s cutting-edge technology. It’s a fantastic honor to be the first person to fly an eVOTL vehicle here at CES,” said Stephansen. “I’m excited to conduct daily flight demonstrations at the West Hall’s outside demonstration area, giving attendees a chance to see firsthand how easy and intuitive the RECON is to operate.”
