Did you know nearly half of global consumers think electric vehicles cost too much? A November 2023 S&P Global Mobility survey found 48% say EV prices are the biggest barrier, even though long-term savings are real. Ouch.

But what if you came across an electric vehicle that includes premium features without the high price tag typically associated with luxury models? That’s exactly what VinFast delivers through its inclusive pricing strategy, offering well-equipped EVs that have caught the attention of both consumers and industry analysts.

The VinFast VF 8 Plus treats every passenger with thoughtful attention to comfort and convenience. It comes with premium vegan leather seats and a driver’s seat that features 12-way power adjustment, heating, ventilation, and memory functions.

Inside, you’ll find a wide 15.6-inch infotainment display, a head-up display for safer driving, and a total of 11 airbags to protect everyone on board. These features are not reserved for higher trims. They’re standard, even in the base Eco version, which also includes Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems such as traffic jam assist and blind-spot warning.

There are no confusing packages or hidden upgrades required. Everything is included up front. The core of VinFast’s electric SUV strategy is to give drivers premium features without the premium price tag.

The VF 8 Eco starts at $46,000 MSRP and is available for lease at $269 per month with $1,250 down, plus a $7,500 EV lease bonus. The Plus trim is available under similar terms, leasing for $319 per month.

Feeling the “wow” yet?

And VinFast expanded its lineup beyond the VF 8 with the introduction of the VF 9, a three-row electric SUV designed to accommodate up to seven passengers. Measuring 201.5 inches in length, the VF 9 features all-wheel drive, 402 horsepower, a panoramic roof, and premium vegan leather upholstery throughout the cabin.

This large VinFast electric SUV combines size, comfort, and performance in a way that’s practical for families and long-distance drivers. The starting MSRP is $69,800, and VinFast currently offers a lease deal at $449 per month for 24 months with zero down payment. This offer also includes a $7,500 EV lease bonus.

So what explains this approach? Van Anh Nguyen, CEO of VinFast North America, stated, “State incentives like the CVRP help VinFast enhance its competitiveness and motivate customers to quickly transition to electric vehicles”

In other words, by combining inclusive pricing with available federal and state rebates, VinFast is able to offer vehicles that compete directly with some of the most affordable EV SUV options currently on the market.

Let’s take a step back. Think about the early days of personal computers. The sound of mechanical keyboards, the green glow of CRT monitors, and the novelty of word processors defined the era. At that time, no one expected those same processors and chips to end up inside our vehicles. Yet today, that has become a reality. Electric vehicles now function as mobile computers, changing how we interact with our cars. They come equipped with over-the-air software updates, built-in apps, and voice-controlled AI systems. This is technological progress in motion.

VinFast supports this direction by offering a well-integrated VF Connect app. Features such as camp mode, pet mode, valet mode, built-in games, calendar syncing, a web browser, and self-diagnosis tools are all included with the vehicle. The system effectively turns the vehicle into an intelligent mobile computer.

Warranty coverage backs up the experience, with 10 years or 125,000 miles for the vehicle and unlimited mileage for the battery under non-commercial use. In addition, every seat benefits from an advanced air-ionization system and Combi 1.0 filters, which help improve air quality for both children and adults.

When you compare competing electric SUVs, many let you access ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) and OTA (over‑the‑air) updates, but usually only if you step up to a higher trim or shell out more cash.

Tesla, for example, makes its Full Self‑Driving software optional and pricey. Ford brings features like hands‑free BlueCruise and lane‑centering in the Mustang Mach‑E, but only on Premium or higher trims and only after an additional option package, even though its entry-level trims already have adaptive cruise and basic OTA updates.

Hyundai’s larger electric SUVs, such as the Ioniq 9, include AWD and adaptive cruise control, but luxury touches and top‑tier safety gear only appear in upper models. Chevrolet’s Equinox EV starts affordable yet reserves its suite of driver aids and larger infotainment screens for mid or high trims.

By contrast, VinFast fits both ADAS and OTA capabilities into its base VF 8 Eco, alongside comfort and safety equipment. That means you’re getting a smart, tech‑filled electric SUV without needing to pay extra for premium packages.

Several U.S. states, including California, Oregon, New York, Vermont, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, currently offer Clean Vehicle Rebate Program (CVRP) incentives ranging from $2,000 to $7,500. When these rebates are applied, the overall transaction cost for an electric vehicle can drop by thousands of dollars. This makes VinFast’s pricing structure even more attractive, as it aligns well with these incentives and increases affordability for buyers.

VinFast electric SUV models combine premium features, advanced software, comfortable interiors, and strong safety technology with accessible lease offers. The company’s pricing strategy takes full advantage of state and federal incentives, helping reduce upfront costs for buyers. Consumers receive an electric SUV experience with extended range, high-end safety systems, and comprehensive features, all included in competitively structured lease programs.
