How fast can an EV battery factory go from concept to full-scale production? For Octillion Power Systems, the answer is just eight months. That is how long the company expects it will take to turn its newly inaugurated Reno, Nevada, facility into a fully operational manufacturing site.
The 40,000-square-foot plant, named “Nevada One,” will serve a wide range of industries, including electric trucks, commercial fleets, and energy storage solutions.
Paul Beach, Global President of Octillion, sees the expansion as a necessary step to support the increasing demand for e-mobility battery systems in North America.
“Opening the Nevada One facility is a key step in our North American expansion strategy,” Beach stated. “This new Reno facility will allow us to satisfy certain demand while also providing a ‘working model’ for clients looking to advance their own co-located factories with Octillion in North America.”

With an anticipated 1GWh production capacity by 2025, Nevada One is designed to manufacture high-density lithium-ion battery packs tailored for electric vehicles, including passenger cars, commercial trucks, buses, and marine applications. The factory will also contribute to energy storage solutions, supporting a more stable and sustainable power grid.
The facility combines skilled workers with automated systems to keep production efficient and precise. Octillion uses a mix of hands-on oversight and advanced robotics to ensure consistency while a team of Reno-based engineers focuses on refining processes and maintaining quality.
Beyond production, Nevada One contributes to the local economy by creating 40-50 jobs, ranging from skilled engineers to assembly workers. “The arrival of Octillion in Western Nevada is a major boon for our state’s electrification industry,” said Taylor Adams, CEO of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada.
