Lucid quietly opened two new facilities in California, adding one in downtown San Jose and another in San Diego, which began operations on November 8. The timing couldn’t be better, with both locations expanding access for customers who want to experience Lucid’s growing lineup firsthand.
Lucid didn’t just add more buildings to its map. The company expanded its retail and service reach right as demand for its cars continued to rise.
Erwin Raphael, Vice President of Revenue at Lucid, mentioned: “Customer demand for Lucid vehicles continues to accelerate, fueled by increasing recognition of our award-winning performance, best-in-class range, and distinctive California-inspired design.”
Lucid has officially expanded its footprint in California. The new San Jose Studio and Service Center, located at 250 Stockton Avenue between Highways 280 and 87, opened with a ribbon-cutting attended by local officials and Lucid owners.
Meanwhile, the San Diego location at 4141 Ruffin Road, just minutes from Highway 15, opened its doors on November 8, rounding out another key addition to the company’s growing retail network across the state.

These two add to Lucid’s California footprint, which now totals 15 Studios and Service Centers in the state. And globally, the network comes to 64 Studios and Service Centers.
Lucid’s latest expansion makes sense for more reasons than just a ribbon-cutting photo op. The cars, the locations, the timing, each piece feels intentional.
The Lucid Air is still the headliner, with an EPA-estimated range of up to 512 miles on the Grand Touring model when fitted with 19-inch wheels. That kind of distance quiets the usual range anxiety chatter.
The Lucid Gravity, the company’s new electric SUV, officially opens test drives this month. It’s designed for families who want space, comfort, and serious performance in one clean package. These new studios give people the chance to experience both the Air and Gravity firsthand instead of just scrolling through specs online.
Opening one studio in downtown San Jose, basically the heartbeat of tech, and another in San Diego, a region packed with EV-friendly lifestyles, feels calculated. Lucid is meeting its audience where they already live and drive. That shortens the path from curiosity to test drive to ownership. And with EVs, being close to service and charging support can make or break the experience.

Timing matters. With November already underway and both new California studios now open, Lucid’s retail presence is growing just as competition in the EV market tightens. The company continues to assemble vehicles at its Arizona facility, where the Gravity follows the Air as its second production model. While many automakers are still trying to connect the dots between manufacturing, retail, and customer support, Lucid appears to have found a rhythm that brings all three together in real time.
It serves as a reminder that an EV brand extends far past the battery and design, relying just as much on the infrastructure and accessibility supporting it.
One more thing to keep on your radar. On November 15-16, Electrify Expo rolls into Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Lucid will be at the event with its Gravity electric SUV, offering attendees the chance to get behind the wheel and experience its 800-horsepower performance paired with refined luxury.
