The 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric is an affordable and upgraded electric crossover with an impressive 261-mile range per charge. It comes with advanced features like Highway Drive Assist and Smart Cruise Control on all models. The new design offers more cabin space, larger cargo room, and improved aerodynamics. With various trim options, each equipped with powerful electric motors and front-wheel drive, the Kona Electric offers versatility.

Bigger, More Aerodynamic 2024 Kona Electric

The new Kona Electric models are about six inches longer than the 2023 models, giving the second row an additional three inches of legroom. The cargo area is 33 percent larger than the 2023 body style. The new wheels make the Kona Electric more aerodynamic, giving it a longer range than the first-generation models.


What’s Powering the Kona Electric

The SE trim features a 99-kW electric motor with 131 horsepower, while the SEL and Limited trims have a 150-kW electric motor with 201 horsepower. All trims come standard with front-wheel drive.

Drivers can extend the battery by using the i-PEDAL one-pedal driving mode with regenerative braking. The Smart Regenerative System adjusts the regenerative braking based on traffic flow and other real-time data.

Hyundai is dedicated to installing world-class technology in all models. The second-generation Kona Electric features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a matching touchscreen infotainment system.

The technology uses over-the-air updates for fewer visits to the service center, and the infotainment system includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi Hotspot.


Maintaining Safety in the Kona Electric

The Kona Electric comes with the Hyundai SmartSense driver-assistance system. It comes with advanced technology like Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Driver Attention Warning. All Kona Electric models come with Highway Driving Assist and Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control.

Available technology includes Surround-View Monitoring, Blind-View Monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Parking Distance Warning.
