The Toyota Corolla is back and better than ever with the Nightshade Special Edition for the 2024 model year. This stylish trim level will be available for the Corolla Sedan, Hybrid, and Hatchback, giving each model an extra-special, bold look that’s sure to turn heads. We’ll break down some details about the upcoming 2024 Toyota Corolla Nightshade.

Exterior Features

With blacked-out badging, black accents, and bronze-finished 18-inch wheels as standard, the Nightshade edition will truly elevate the new Corolla.

The front features a sport mesh gloss-black front grille with blacked-out Toyota badges, while the side boasts black painted sport side rocker panels and black capped heated power outside mirrors.

The rear is equally striking, with blacked-out rear badges, a black shark fin antenna, a rear lip spoiler, and a lower diffuser. The Hatchback version even adds a large black Vented Sport Wing and two-toned roof for a snazzy look.

Interior Features

Inside, the 2024 Toyota Corolla Nightshade models offer Sport seats with sport fabric inserts. For entertainment, the Nightshade edition will feature a 4.2-inch color Multi-Information Display (MID) with customizable settings, Toyota Audio Multimedia with an 8-inch touchscreen, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 included as standard.

Music enthusiasts can opt for the available JBL Premium Audio package, while the SE Premium package adds convenience with a power tilt/slide moonroof, Qi wireless charger, Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) for added safety.

The available color options for the Corolla sedan and Hybrid Nightshade Edition include Midnight Black Metallic, Classic Silver Metallic, and Ice Cap. The Corolla Hatchback Nightshade Edition goes a step further with two-tone paint combinations, such as Windchill Pearl with a Midnight Black Metallic Roof or Classic Silver Metallic with a Midnight Black Metallic Roof.

Power

Underneath the stylish exterior, all Corolla Nightshade models are built on the Toyota New Global Architecture-C platform (TNGA-C), ensuring a super-rigid structure, low center of gravity, and exceptional handling agility.

The Corolla Hybrid Nightshade model will be available in both Front Wheel Drive and electronic on-demand All Wheel Drive versions. The All Wheel Drive system includes a separate rear-mounted electric motor to power the rear wheels when necessary.

Powered by a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve 138-hp engine paired with two electric motor generators, the Corolla Hybrid Nightshade models will be able to achieve an impressive estimated 47 combined mpg.

When Can We See It?

You can expect the Corolla Nightshade models to arrive at Toyota dealerships in fall 2023, with additional details and pricing to be announced later this year.
