Goodyear Expands RangeMax Lineup to Cater to Evolving Electric Fleet Needs

To meet the changing needs of local pickup and delivery fleets, Goodyear, a global leader in tire manufacturing, has introduced two additions to its tried and tested RangeMax tire series: the RangeMax™ RSA® ULT and the RangeMax™ RTD™ ULT. Engineered to meet the unique requirements of both electric and traditional regional work vehicles, these latest offerings signify a big step forward in tire technology positioned to improve, traction, range, and mileage, irrespective of the drivetrain.

Meeting the rising demand in regional delivery, Goodyear’s RangeMax RSA ULT and RangeMax RTD ULT tires are made to give advanced range efficiency. With low rolling resistance and a longer lifespan, they match fleet operators’ goals for saving money and sustainable.

Rich Cottrell, Senior Director of Commercial Marketing for Goodyear North America, highlighted the tire giant’s commitment to innovation and meeting customer needs, stating, “As the unique range, durability, and versatility needs of regional pickup and delivery fleets evolve, we’re constantly listening to our fleet partners to design superior tires for every application.”

The Goodyear RangeMax RSA ULT, available in sizes 225/70R19.5 and 245/70R19.5, features an impressive 10% improvement in rolling resistance compared to its predecessor, the Goodyear Fuel Max RSA ULT. Equipped with Intellimax Technology, this tire stiffens the tread for enhanced durability, ensuring long miles to removal.

Additionally, its Sawtooth Shoulder Groove Design and Advanced Tread Compounds provide an aggressive pattern for Mud + Snow and Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) traction rating, improving performance in various weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the Goodyear RangeMax RTD ULT, also available in sizes 225/70R19.5 and 245/70R19.5, features a soybean oil tread compound, reducing petroleum use and advancing sustainability efforts. Its deep open-shoulder tread design provides exceptional traction while maintaining longevity, meeting the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) traction rating for superior performance in diverse weather scenarios.

In line with Goodyear’s commitment to sustainable practices, the RangeMax RTD ULT incorporates Bio-Based Material technology, as highlighted by the company’s representative: “Designed with Bio-Based Material featuring innovative soybean oil technology that reduces petroleum use.”
