Fisker PEAR to be Built at Lordstown Plant

Hot on the heels that Foxconn’s $230 million deal to buy the Lordstown plant is news that they’ll be building the Fisker PEAR by 2024.

Henrik Fisker– who, according the official press release, is “(the) passionate creator of the world’s most sustainable electric vehicles and advanced mobility solutions” (really)– confirms that Foxconn will produce a new electric vehicle, the Fisker PEAR, at its newly-acquired Lordstown Motors factory in Lordstown, Ohio.

Fisker– who has yet to produce the Fisker Ocean electric SUV that was first shown in 2019– has huge plans for the smaller PEAR EV, and plans to build “at least” 250,000 PEARs per year at the Foxconn-owned plant, “after a ramp up period.”

“The PEAR will be a revolutionary electric vehicle that won’t fit into any existing segment,” claims Henrik Fisker, the passionate creator. “The exterior design will feature new lighting technology and a wraparound front windscreen inspired by a glider plane glass canopy, enhancing frontal vision … our engineering group is working on new features and high-tech solutions for the PEAR that will change how we use and enjoy a vehicle in the city.”

As for the PEAR, itself, very little is yet known– but what Fisker has released looks pretty interesting. You can check out Fisker’s PEAR launch video (from way back in May, 2021) for yourself, below, then let us know what you think of the soon-to-be Foxconn-built best-seller in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
