The Husqvarna brand steps up with an all-electric dirt bike for little riders with big dreams who are ready to catch some big air!
Established motocross brand KTM announced its 2023 SX-E 3 back in September as a ready-to-race mini cycle – and now, its sister brand Husqvarna has added the EE 3 and the EE 5 to its lineup as well.
The EE 3 carries a 648 Wh lithium-ion battery that allows for fast charging. We don’t yet have details on the battery’s run time or recharge intervals, though.
The EE 3 also puts up 3.8 kW of power, with six ride modes so young racers can adjust their ride to their experience level. Like many other electric motocross bikes, this one doesn’t have a clutch thanks to the electric drivetrain, so pairing that with the 10-inch wheels helps make this a nice entry-level bike for the sport.
Meanwhile, the EE 5 puts up 5 kW of power with a 907 Wh power pack that is estimated to last for up to two hours of riding (but drops down to about 25 minutes in a full-on competition, though). However, the EE 5’s battery can be fully recharged in 70 minutes.
Between the WP XACT air fork, WP rear shock, chromium molybdenum frame, and 12-inch wheels, the EE 5 is built for more experienced riders who like to really abuse their bikes.
Pricing has yet to be revealed, but we expect it to be somewhat in line with the Honda CRF-E2 launched earlier this year.
