The Dark Knight is cleaning up the streets of Gotham City one fistfight at a time, and his latest Batmobile is helping to keep it clean!
The movie version of Batman’s “Tumbler” Batmobile weighed over 5,000 lbs. and, on its own, could hardly get out of its own way. This one? This one is so much better– it uses same tubular steel spaceframe chassis as the original, but ditches that heavy metal bodywork in favor of lightweight body parts made from ABS plastic and carbon fiber. The end result is a movie-ready replica that tips the scales at a positively featherweight 1,322 lbs.
And, because it’s on these pages, you already know that it’s electric– powered by a pair of li-ion battery packs and good for a top speed of 65 mph. on its 33 inch wide rear tires, this Batmobile is ready to wow everybody in your town.
The car was custom-built by the Van Daryl automotive gallery in Ho Chi Minh City, where it’s currently on display and being used to take orders– though the price to get your own has yet to be confirmed. That said: if you have to ask …
You can take a look at the Van Daryl-built electric Tumbler and see it in motion in the video, then let us know what you’d be willing to pay to put one of these in your driveway in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
